Sten Pentus (World Series by Renault: Formula Renault 3.5)

Sten Pentus was born in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn. He started his racing career in go-karts, participating in classes like Raket and ICA Junior. Being evaluated as one of the most perspective young drivers in Estonia he proceeded to the Estonian and Baltic Formula Championship with the results of being a multiple Estonian and Baltic Formula Champion.

At the end of the 2008 season, Pentus tested for GP2 Series teams DPR and Racing Engineering with respectable results considering his previous racing experience. In November, he tested with Fortec Motorsport in the World Series by Renault test in Valencia and again impressed. Sten Pentus will compete in the 2009 World Series by Renault season, driving or the Mofaz Fortec Motorsport Team.
