Tonis Kasemets: (The Cooper Tires Presents The Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda)

Tõnis Kasemets, born in Parnu Estonia and moved to the United States in 1994.  Tonis began racing as an ice racer at age 8, raced in the Nations Cup in 1990 and the Baltic States Kart Racing Championships, winning back-to-back Titles in 1992 and 1993.  In 1994 Tonis got his hands on his first ‘American’ open wheel car – a Formula Opel Lotus; competing in that series in 1995 and was awarded “Estonia’s Best Racer.”

Tonis began SCCA racing in 1995 and advanced through the open wheel ranks. 2009 is one more season in the Atlantic Series Championship – “Presented by Cooper Tires – Powered by Mazda”.
